"State Farm only paid out like 2,100 dollars, (plus they count our deductible in the amount to fix the roof), for damage to my roof in December. I have damage from hail all over my roof! That would look so terrible having new shingles here and there! They leave it up to you fix it the right way. Then I find out my neighbor got denied and he told them he would change insurance companies and he got his new roof approved, when they initially declined him!! So, I am wondering why my neighbor, who lives a few houses down from me, got his new roof from the same hail storm that hit my house as well but I have to replace a few shingles here and there??? So, I sent the claim back through for review. The lady I talked initially Renee, she supposedly contacted someone from the company, she couldn't say who, would call me back within 48 hrs. I am still waiting on that call from the company. Then I called a man named Luke, by the time I got to Luke I was mad to say it mildly. I was rude but had done been pushed around, left hanging and wanted answers! When I told him about how my neighbor a few houses down got his new roof and that I thought that was conflict of interest, he said no and then I said it was discrimination and he laughed at me!!! I was irrate at this point and said very unpleasant things to him! The roofing company told me that they will take their sweet time, hoping you will just let it go! Well, I won't just let this go! I will be filing a claim with the BBC if they deny my claim! I will also consult a lawyer with this and see what my options are! Insurance companies think they are powerful and will do anything they can to not pay out! I have had different insurance companies but I never had any of them treat me the way State Farm has. Also, I opened a new claim after tornados, hail, high winds and flooding hit our subdivision, they can't deny it, the news showed us on TV!!!! But I'm sure they will deny me on that one too somehow! I am mad and disappointed."
